Your adventure begins when you arrive at the legendary Mont Rest Inn. The afternoon of your first night you are greeted with homemade fresh baked cookies; and are shown to one of the thirteen luxury suites at the 1893 Mansion. After check in, you might want to visit our deck top veranda. The view of the Mississippi River is nothing short of breathtaking. Put your swimsuit on and play in our party size Jacuzzi.

Our suites include some or all of the following: working fireplaces (lit in fall and winter), two person whirlpools baths, double or steam showers, queen or king size beds, gourmet chocolates, heated towel bars, luxury Egyptian cotton robes, bidets, and panoramic views of the Mississippi River.
You are free to dine at the Inn by prearrangement with one of our many dining options, at one of the many area restaurants (we will be glad to concierge for you), or just walk down to the river and watch the myriad of boats lock through the canal. Upon your return to the Inn, a Mont Rest signature dessert and beverages awaits you.
You awake to a country gourmet breakfast. Enjoy of day of shopping and sightseeing in Bellevue, Dubuque, or Galena. Browse through the many specialty stores, fine gourmet food, antique shops, boutiques and wineries.
Your 2 hours cruise on the American Lady departs from the Port in Dubuque at 6:00 pm or 7:30 pm. You will need to check in a half hour before your cruise.
Saturday and Sunday Evening 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Wednesday and Friday Evening 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm.
After your cruise you can look forward to an evening of merriment at the Victorian Mansion. Depending on which nights you book your tour this can include parlor games, a sing along with our 1905 player grand piano, watch a free movie from our extensive film library, rock on the expansive front porch, or if you wish you can quietly slip off to your room for a candlelight Jacuzzi for two.
The next morning, once again, there is a wonderful breakfast, and you are treated to a personal history and tour of Mont Rest before your departure.
